Woman’s Circle of Thought
Daily I invite you to sit back and read as I share my collection of faith, belief, obstacles and trials because researchers have suggested that human beings are herd animals with an instinctive need to belong to groups or circles, where personal development can take place in an interpersonal environment. Thus, the experience of being able to give another a voice, hope or belief can lift one’s self esteem and help develop more adaptive coping styles and interpersonal skills.I do not know about YOU, dear reader, but this middle-aged woman needs to KNOW she is NOT ALONE in thought or action. I want YOU to FEEL my presence in your life and be assured I AM there for you as we ALL are there for each other !
I am proposing a woman’s circle that can be a sacred place where ladies can help each other grow and prosper in a loving, healthy manner. My blog, Middle Age Wanderer, can provide a supportive and loving environment for ladies to take risks by extending their repertoire of interpersonal behavior, thus improving their vision beyond the scope of their current lens. Ladies visiting this blog can unconsciously identify another's story with their own thus helping them gain understanding of the impact of menopause or their own childhood experiences on their personality, and they may learn to avoid unconsciously repeating unhelpful past interactive patterns in present-day relationships.
My vision is for our group to be one in which all ladies feel a sense of belonging, acceptance, and validation while learning that one has to live peacefully and responsibly with one's present and past and the consequences of one's positive or negative thought or behavioral patterns thereof. This aspect overlaps with interpersonal learning but refers to the achievement of greater levels of insight into the genesis of one's problems and the unconscious motivations that underlie one's behavior. In a mixed group that has ladies at various stages of development or recovery, a lady can be inspired and encouraged by another lady who has overcome the problems with which they are still struggling. The recognition of shared experiences and feelings among these ladies and that their troubled concerns and painful problems may be widespread or universal human concerns, serves to remove a lady’s sense of isolation, validate their experiences, and raise self-esteem.
The purpose of the Middle Age Wanderer's blog is for the perimenopausal, menopausal, or wounded to experience relief from emotional distress through the free and uninhibited expression of voice, thought and emotion. I feel when ladies tell their story to a supportive audience and listen to the tales of others they can develop social skills through a modeling process, observing and imitating others. For example, through sharing personal feelings, showing concern, and supporting others, women can obtain relief from chronic feelings of shame and guilt, therefore achieving a greater level of self-awareness and esteem.
In closing, if sight, voice and compassion pledge allegiance to the wounded our circle of women can heal one woman at a time, then another until esteem escalates and recognizes the crucial rights of beings to love and respect. Forevermore, starting with us ages to ages of women can empower a peace beyond the spectrum of archaic lens and birth an abundance of awakenings across a planet sanctioned into the communion of enlightenment for a species carefully woven as ONE. All journey on grounds soiled not by globule of tears, but grateful passages of familiar country to future KNOWN! Moreover, it ALL begins with ONE vision, ONE Voice, and ONE blog but for many visions, many voices and many woman joined as ONE!
